A Remarkable Year of Academic Success
This special occasion not only recognised individual excellence but also highlighted the collective success of our 2024 graduates. The assembly showcased impressive academic results from the Class of 2024, reflecting the dedication and hard work of our students:
18% of eligible students achieved an ATAR of 90 or above.
16 students attained a result of 90 or above in a General Subject.
14 students achieved four or more A standard results.
17% of students completed a school-based traineeship or apprenticeship.
80% of students received a VET qualification.
These statistics underscore the commitment of our students and staff in fostering an environment of academic excellence and career readiness.

A highlight of the assembly was the recognition of Mark Polon, named as both College Dux and ATAR Dux. Mark inspired students with a heartfelt reflection on his Year 12 journey, encouraging students to embrace College life, seize every opportunity, work diligently and remain committed to their goals. He also challenged the Year 12 class of 2025 to strive for their own excellence and make the most of their final year at Unity College.
A Celebration of Leadership
The assembly continued with the commissioning of Year 11 Student Leaders and Student Council Representatives, who received their leadership badges. This symbolic moment marked the beginning of their journey as role models within the College, embodying the Unity College values of Uniting, Inspiring, and Succeeding.
This event was a wonderful celebration of academic dedication and leadership, and we look forward to seeing where the future takes Mark and the entire Class of 2024. Congratulations to all our award recipients, and best wishes to our current Year 12s as they embark on their final year of schooling!
